The Banquet!

Huge thanks to all of the PACTour staff! They took really great care of us all during this trip.

They had a banquet for us tonight at the Marriott, complete with the presentation of photo plaques and a hilarious song: "The PACTour Blues" written and performed by Mark Gunther. I'll try to post the lyrics soon!

The Official Route Map was auctioned off tonight. Lon and Susan use the money from this auction to help build school in rural areas of Peru. The map went for $2100!!!

It was really great to have Sal and Luanne here with me! We had some good laughs...that's for sure!

Thank you so much, David, for all your entire blog and tonite for the victory trip that your sister-in-law and your mother-in-law made great effort to make from St. Petersburg in a desperate attempt try to represent your own special Katie (and the other Katy, your neice, who at the last moment could als not come). Please know that ALL of your family are proud of you but nobody as proud as your Katie waiting for you at home. (and boy, am I proud of my big Sis, Sally for getting there and for Luanne for getting her there!) and you dear David, for pedaling there! Love from auntlucybright

Congrats on another great trip Dave! I hope you don't mind but someone kind of expanded your Saturday morning 'romp' out to Ft Christmas.. There had to be at least 30+ of us out there yesterday. So you have plenty of company to come home too.. ;)

Dave;

We have never met but Hal provided the link to your blog in his newsletter. I just wanted to say "thanks" for sharing your experiences. What an incredible trip and experience. The pictures really added to the blog as I could visulize myself being there even though I could never do a ride of that length.

Again thanks
